EMBERHONEY is the music project centred around singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Taylor Madison Damion. Her arresting, lyric-driven songs are replete with cinematic tension, evocative soundscapes and haunting piano melodies. With a voice like 'smoke and chocolate', EMBERHONEY's live performances on both piano and guitar draw comparisons to Nick Cave, Agnes Obel and Anna Calvi.
EMBERHONEY's work has been nominated in various songwriting showcases, which included recognition by Sir Tim Rice for the poetry of her lyrics. She has also been commissioned to write the theme song for a New York stage show.
Further to the release of her debut EP 'Smoke' and the single 'Drop Everything & Love Me', EMBERHONEY released a Noir-inspired video for the song 'Crimes Against Your Vanity attracting much attention and airplay on BBC 6. Radio sessions followed for BBC and independent stations, plus live shows and webcasts.
In a series of 6 Live Videos were filmed at Honeytone Recordings in Brighton, including the Johnny Cash version of 'Hurt' and a cover of Nick Cave's 'Into My Arms'.
The single ‘Some Kind of Alchemy’ along with a music video, again self-directed by EMBERHONEY, was released in late 2016 attracting praise from online media and 4 STARS in Songwriter Magazine and was shortlisted by New York based HIP Video Promo's Music Video Competition from over 125 entries.
In 2019 EMBERHONEY was commissioned to write music for a David Lynch-inspired short film called 'Schmetterling'. The film recently won a BFI award.
EMBERHONEY is currently recording songs for her new EP 'The Ghost in the Machine', to be released next year followed by live shows around the UK.
