'... hints of Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave and Anna Calvi...she'd be right at home playing in some divey bar in Twin Peaks.'

I found music the way some people find God… in a state of existential suffering that demands either suicide or a clear path to salvation. My formative years were a harrowing descent into drug-fuelled insanity, violence and chaos. I sought order by literally drawing myself out of the chaos, creating an entire paper world with a box of crayons, scissors and glue. Then I discovered writing and chess. And later, I sought answers from reading philosophy.

BUT THEN…

I found redemption in a drum kit. And then a guitar. And then a piano. And finally… I dared to open my mouth and sing. Music is my salvation.  As Nietzsche said: “ We have Art in order not to die of the Truth ”.

After playing drums and fronting bands for several years, I’ve spent the last 3 years studying music production in order to create the sonic world demanded by my growing artistic vision. My first release as EMBERHONEY was an EP called ‘Smoke’ followed by a single called ‘Drop Everything and Love Me’. This year, I’ll be recording and producing ‘The Ghost in the Machine’, a Mini-Album released one song at a time and culminating in my first UK Tour in Autumn 2020.

“ You must have chaos within you to give birth to a dancing star .”  - Nietzsche
